How we build

Modern stack. No plugin bloat. No PHP.

Every site we build uses a modern headless CMS paired with a statically-generated front end – meaning your content is managed in a clean, purpose-built interface, while the website itself is compiled into fast, secure files with no server-side vulnerabilities to exploit.

Compare that to a typical WordPress site: a PHP application with a database, a plugin ecosystem that drifts out of date, and a login page that attracts automated attacks. WordPress can be done well – and if you have an existing WordPress site you want to keep, or a specific reason to use it, we can work with that too. But for new builds, the headless approach is faster, more secure, and easier to maintain long-term.

We don't publish a price book – every project is quoted individually. What we can do is give you a clear sense of what things cost and what moves the number up or down.

Web design & development

£400 – £2,500

A small brochure site starts from £400. Larger builds with headless CMS integration or more extensive design work sit higher – but rarely above £2,500.

Common questions

FAQs

How long does a website project take?
Most brochure websites take 4–8 weeks from kick-off to launch. Larger projects with CMS integration, custom features, or multiple stakeholders can run to 10–14 weeks. We agree a timeline upfront and keep you updated throughout.
Do I need a developer after the site launches?
No – if your project includes a CMS, your team can handle day-to-day content updates without any technical knowledge. We hand over with documentation and a walkthrough. For technical changes, hosting issues, or future development, we offer ongoing support and are easy to reach.
What's the difference between Next.js and WordPress?
WordPress bundles the content management and the website together in one PHP application. Next.js is a modern React framework we use as part of a headless setup – the CMS and the website are kept separate, and the site is built as clean, compiled code. Headless sites are significantly faster, more secure (no PHP attack surface), and easier to maintain long-term. We recommend them for most new projects.
Can you work with my existing brand?
Yes – we regularly build for clients who already have a brand in place. Send us your brand guidelines, logos, and any existing assets and we'll design within them. If your brand needs refreshing, we can handle that as part of the same project.
Do you work with clients outside Devon?
Absolutely. We're based in Devon but work with clients across the UK and internationally. Everything runs remotely – video calls, shared documents, and staged review links mean geography is never a barrier.
What do you need from me to get started?
A brief covering what you do, who your audience is, what you want the site to achieve, and any examples of sites you like. That's enough to have a proper conversation. We'll ask questions, suggest an approach, and send a fixed quote. No commitment required at that stage.
Do you offer hosting and ongoing support?
Yes – we offer managed hosting as part of our service, so you don't need to deal with infrastructure, deployments, or renewals. We handle all of that. Retainer arrangements are also available for clients who need regular updates or ongoing development time.
