A welcoming Catholic parish in Topsham, in a church opened in 1937 and home to a chamber organ built in 1786. We built a warm, photography-led Astro site that keeps Mass times, events and the newsletter close at hand.
The Brief
Holy Cross is a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Plymouth, serving Topsham and the surrounding area from a church founded through the generosity of Canon Thomas Cahill and opened in 1937. It has plenty to share, from a historic chamber organ built in 1786 to its work with CAFOD, the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham and Churches Together in Topsham. The parish needed a website that made everyday information easy to find – Mass times, events and the monthly newsletter – while giving its history and community life a proper home.
What We Built
We built a fast, image-led Astro site with Hygraph as the headless CMS. A full-width photograph of the sanctuary sets a warm, welcoming tone, with Mass times, directions and travel details surfaced on the home page for quick reference. Dedicated pages cover the parish's history, music, organisation and photo galleries, and the newsletter sits one click away in the main menu. The CMS lets the parish team publish events, newsletters and announcements without developer involvement.
